We received our Consulate Appointment confirmation today which was the last step before booking our travel. Based on that appointment our itinerary looks like this:
12/5 Leave MSP for Beijing (through Tokyo)
12/6 Arrive in Beijing - Staying at Oriental Culture Hotel
12/7-12/8 Tour Beijing (Great Wall, Forbidden City)
12/9 Leave for Xi'an - Staying at the Sofitel
12/10 - - Meet Isabel (gotcha day)!
12/11-12/14 Xi'an - paperwork and see the Terra Cotta Warriors
12/15- Fly to Guangzhou - Staying at the White Swan Hotel (famous red couch)
12/16-12/20 Guangzhou (Consulate Appt. on 12/18)
12/21 Leave for Minneapolis (through Tokyo)
It should be a great adventure!
Update: 12/7/07 - Our host here in Beijing told us our Gotcha Day has changed to Sunday! We're so excited we get her a day earlier!
